The Role
As an Operations Coordinator, you’ll play a key part in keeping everything running smoothly — acting as the crucial link between suppliers and customers to ensure equipment is delivered and collected efficiently across the UK.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Working with an approved list of suppliers to source the right equipment for customer needs
- Coordinating logistics — ensuring machinery is delivered and off-hired to the correct locations on time
- Tracking and logging all equipment movements (what, where, and when)
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with both customers and suppliers
- Managing multiple ongoing projects simultaneously across the UK
What We’re Looking For
- Experience within the Plant Hire, Equipment Hire, or a similar industry
- Proven background as a Hire Controller, Operations Coordinator, or similar role
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in building strong relationships
- Strong follow-through — able to chase updates and ensure smooth coordination
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to juggle multiple priorities effectively
- A genuine team player with great attention to detail and a positive attitude
- Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 (DOE within industry) + Monthly Discretionary Profit-Related Bonus
- Holidays: 24 days annual leave + bank holidays
