Sous Chef Cambridge £28,000 - £32,000 plus great service charge

At Select Hospitality Cambridge we are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Sous Chef. My Client are opening up a brand new restaurant in Cambridge and are looking for all chefs, cooking with wood-fired ovens & grills.
This is a great opportunity to join a business from the start and be influential in the menu concepts, designs and implementation. I am looking for a strong passionate chef, who is used to working in a busy fresh food operation, someone with a passion for cooking everything from fresh daily.

The business will be serving a mix of the best quality local meats, plant based foods, and superb roasts.

The successful applicant will get the opportunity to work across all sections in the kitchen, including the breakfast, lunch, dinner & functions. The client is looking for a Sous chef who is happy to be involved with menu direction, and new dishes, team training & stocktakes, you will also get the opportunity to be heavily involved with the daily changing specials menu.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of menu writing & costing, stocktakes, full due diligence and be able to run the kitchen in the Head Chefs absence.

Due to the nature of the role, you will need to be able to work a variety of shifts covering weekends, bank holidays and evenings.
