Sous Chef – Boutique Hotel & Restaurant
Just outside King's Lynn, Norfolk £40,000 + £2,000 tips

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join the kitchen team of a stunning Georgian manor house hotel and restaurant nestled in the heart of the Norfolk countryside.

About the Role

As Sous Chef, you will collaborate closely with the Head Chef to create exceptional dining experiences for our guests. You will have a pivotal role in menu development, overseeing kitchen operations, and leading the team to uphold the highest culinary standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing all aspects of kitchen operations and service delivery
  • Supervise, mentor, and train kitchen staff to maintain excellent standards
  • Contribute to menu planning and development, prioritising seasonal and local produce
  • Ensure strict compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Manage stock control and procurement efficiently
  • Assume full responsibility in the absence of the Head Chef

Person Specification

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie within a reputable kitchen
  • Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills
  • Passionate about fresh, seasonal, and high-quality cooking
  • Ability to perform well under pressure while maintaining consistency
  • A collaborative team player with a positive approach and commitment to excellence
