Our client, a well-established marine services provider supporting the offshore wind sector, is looking for an experienced Marine Operations Manager to lead their Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV) activities across several UK locations. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong operational leader — or a seasoned CTV Master looking to transition ashore — to join a growing and forward-thinking organisation in a pivotal leadership position.
The Role
Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of marine operations, ensuring high standards of performance, safety, compliance, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily CTV operations, including vessel scheduling, crew transfers, and resource planning
- Manage operational, crewing, and technical teams to deliver safe and efficient services
- Maintain compliance with ISM, IMO, and offshore industry safety regulations
- Prepare and manage operational budgets, KPIs, and performance reports
- Liaise with engineering and shore-based teams to plan maintenance and operational logistics
- Develop and sustain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
- Travel regularly to operational bases (Lowestoft, Cumbria, Wales), including overnight stays (expenses covered)
- Contribute to strategic planning, continuous improvement, and business growth initiatives
- Proven experience in operational management within marine services (ideally offshore wind or CTV operations)
- Or a highly experienced CTV Master seeking a transition into a shore-based management role
- Strong knowledge of maritime legislation, safety procedures, and industry best practice
- Demonstrated leadership, sound decision-making, and team management ability
- Commercial awareness, including experience managing budgets and controlling operational costs
- Professional and confident communicator with a client-focused mindset
- Willingness to travel across the UK with occasional overnight stays
- Starting salary of £50,000 with a review after 6 months
