As they embark on the next level growth of the business, this leading distributor are looking for a Head of Operations to assist with the scaling up of their Norwich depot with a focus on the ecommerce growth. This brand new role will report into the Director and will be recruited at the same time as Head of Sales to form part of the Senior management team with the intent of working collaboratively, taking the business to the next level. The business is a worldwide and have a partnership approach with their customers and suppliers alike. This exciting opportunity will initially be very hands on and will require you to;
- Lead and manage the day to day activities of the Warehouse/depot and actively develop the team
- Plan resources, maintain excellent levels of H&S, compliance, site security
- Work closely with Sales & Purchasing to optimise the supply chain
- Head up various initiatives for improving the warehouse management systems, pick-pack operation and distribution
