Head of Operations - Permanent - Norwich - competitive salary + car + bonus + bens
As they embark on the next level growth of the business, this leading distributor are looking for a Head of Operations to assist with the scaling up of their Norwich depot with a focus on the ecommerce growth. This brand new role will report into the Director and will be recruited at the same time as Head of Sales to form part of the Senior management team with the intent of working collaboratively, taking the business to the next level. The business is a worldwide and have a partnership approach with their customers and suppliers alike. They gain this through employing like-minded individuals to join the meritocracy who are passionate, driven and in return will be valued, developed and rewarded accordingly.
This exciting opportunity will initially be very hands on and will require you to;
  • Lead and manage the day to day activities of the Warehouse/depot and actively develop the team
  • Plan resources, maintain excellent levels of H&S, compliance, site security
  • Work closely with Sales & Purchasing to optimise the supply chain
  • Head up various initiatives for improving the warehouse management systems, pick-pack operation and distribution
You will not just be able to see what needs improving or altering but actively effect the change. Having commercial business know-how on enabling the scale up of the operation including the possibility of moving to bigger premises.
You will be recognised as an inclusive, hands-on Manager with a lead from the front' style. You will motivate and mentor your team, show genuine passion and take pride in what you do and achieve.
