Head Chef Bury St Edmunds £40000, DAY TIME ONLY, MONDAY TO FRIDAY
Im looking for a strong Head Chef to join my client at their stunning private school. This is a role which allows you freedom and gives you creative flair, autonomy over the food offer, an opportunity to train, coach and develop a team.
My client is looking for an experienced head chef with B&I or Contract Catering Background, someone who takes a great passion in inspiring, leading and developing a team and a culinary offer. You will have a great understanding of the current market trends, both local and worldwide and how to stay ahead offering your customers the best possible food experience. You will be able to demonstrate fantastic craft skills, and show how you can progress a team and the offer.
My client has recently won the contract to serve the catering needs for the staff, students & pupils, VIPs and conference delegates at this stunning private school. You will be catering for up to 200 on a daily basis catering to a high standard using locally sourced fresh food. The ideal candidate will have great ideas of how to push site sales and increase hospitality services.
You will be responsible for a team of up to 10, serving a breakfast, lunch and hospitality services. The Head chef will have a good understanding of P&L's rota costing & planning, team training and development, menu planning, costing and implementation.
Experience and Skills Required
The ideal candidate will be from a B&I contract catering background with good knowledge of finances and team management. You will have experience of managing an motivating a large team and be able to cope in a busy environment.
Salary and Benefits
As well as a brilliant salary of up to £40,000 dependant on skills, abilities and experience, you will be entitled to enhanced pension contribution and life assurance scheme along with great working hours.
Due to the nature of the role, a full enhanced DBS will be required, so any candidates with a criminal record will not be able to apply
