About the Role:
As a Workshop Engineer at the Leicester Depot, your primary focus will be on pre-delivery inspections. This critical role includes:
- Pre-Delivery Inspection: You will be responsible for meticulously checking new machines, ensuring they run smoothly and addressing minor faults. Additionally, you'll handle attachments like breakers, verifying their proper attachment and functionality. From checking oil and tyres to fixing the radio, your attention to detail will shine. You might even have the chance to add extra features not initially specified, like extra lights, making each machine truly exceptional.
- Depot Workshop Focus: Your base will be at the depot workshop, where you'll be readily available to assist Field Service Engineers when required. In case of routine tasks, you can take them over. Furthermore, you'll manage Yardman duties, such as unloading lorries and checking in machines when they arrive. Your commitment to maintaining a clean and tidy workshop and depot will be essential. Keeping our supervisor informed about consumable requirements and waste disposal will ensure a smooth operation.
Enjoy a 40-hour working week from 08:00 to 16:30, with a half-hour unpaid lunch break
