You will be sitting within the IT Infrastructure team whilst being an escalation point for the 2nd line Helpdesk Engineers, using your experience of both to bridge the gap between teams. You will be primarily working with educational frameworks, so you will use your knowledge to test, package and then deploy software. You will be taking ownership of the software, ensuring to manage all patches to maintain a seamless service. Due to the educational nature of most clients, you’ll be supporting the use of Active Directory to categorise students ahead of exams, so any knowledge of this will mark you as a particularly special candidate.
To succeed in this role, you will: -
- Deploy your established software knowledge for centralised distribution using Microsoft Intune.
- Offer exceptional customer service and act as technical expert for college software catalogues.
- Understand how and when you need to escalate issues to the senior infrastructure support team.
