At Select Specialist Recruiters we are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Sous Chef.
The client is a traditional premium destination restaurant, bar & boutique hotel on the Essex/Cambridgeshire border serving a mix of traditional English and European dishes alongside a very busy bar, hotel & function operation. 
I am looking for a strong passionate chef, who is used to working in a very busy fresh food operation, and with experience of restaurant and event dining.

The business is very popular with locals, regulars and destination customers, as well as business guests.

The successful applicant will get the opportunity to work across all sections in the kitchen, including the lunch, dinner & conference and events.  

The ideal candidate will come from a busy fresh food background, have a good understanding of menu writing & costing, stocktakes, full due diligence and be able to run the kitchen in the Head Chefs absence.

Due to the nature of the role, you will need to be able to work a variety of shifts covering weekends, bank holidays and evenings.
