My client, a respected industry leader, is in search of a dedicated and skilled Power Generator Engineer to join their dynamic team. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a range of Construction, Agricultural, Industrial, Heavy Line, and Recycling Equipment. Not only will you play a pivotal role in maintaining equipment to the highest standards, but you'll also be instrumental in building strong customer relationships within the Service sector. Your ability to provide world-class customer service will be paramount as you collaborate with customers and liaise with equipment manufacturers.

Role and Responsibilities: As a Power Generator Engineer, you will:
  • Conduct both minor and major services to diesel engine generator sets at customer sites.
  • Perform site surveys to contribute to project design and proposals.
  • Install diesel generators at customer sites.
  • Collaborate with electrical contractors for commissioning.
  • Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns.
  • Undertake control system wiring and PLC/Deep Sea/Deif programming work.
  • Utilize your experience to load bank generators of all sizes.
  • Stay up-to-date by attending relevant product training courses.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by being available for unsociable hours.
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualifications in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, including IEE regs - 18th Edition (beneficial).
  • NVQ 2 in plant engineering, servicing, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of the Construction and Heavy Machinery industry or similar.
  • Experience with hydraulic systems, axles, transmissions, and electrical systems.
  • Remote working capability and technical expertise.
  • A portfolio of certifications and achievements.
  • Outstanding customer-facing skills.
  • Ability to excel under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • A clean driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK.
