Are you an experienced head chef, looking for a business to run as your own, my client are looking for a head chef to join their team to oversee the running of their award winning bar, restaurant & Functions business based just outside of Cambridge.
Its an exciting time to join the company with the addition of a brand-new purpose built outdoor kitchen & function space, the head chef would have free reign and autonomy over the menu & food offering in order to maximise the food and catering offering.
As head chef you will be given full autonomy to run the business as your own, and the owners would look to you to advise on new supplier requirements as well as ensuring the correct staffing levels. You will have full responsibility for coaching, developing and mentoring a large team, working with your senior kitchen team to produce a menu using 100% fresh food catering for a large range of clientele and cuisines.
The business is a true destination business with a very loyal local client base topped up with regular outside guests.
The menu is open to your ideas, but is currently working as a premium ala carte gasto menu, along side a lighter outside garden offering, however your experience and knowledge of the local cuisine will be essential in driving the business forwards. You will have the opportunity to alongside the owners, steer the business in new culinary directions taking advantage of the local produce available, and by engaging with customers to listen to what they are looking for,
Due to the nature of the role, you will need to be able to work a variety of shifts covering weekends, bank holidays and evenings.
