Are you an experienced head chef, looking for a new challenge, my client are looking for a head chef to join their team to oversee the running of their award Country Pub, in Cumbria
The business is part of a small family ran group, specialising in Cumbrian businesses, focusing on traditional pub food, using fresh local ingredients served to a very high standard.
As head chef you will be given full autonomy on menus and food ideas, and the owners would look to you to advise on equipment, staffing and supplier requirements. You will have full responsibility for coaching, developing and mentoring your team, working with your senior kitchen team to produce a menu using 100% fresh food catering for a large range of clientele and cuisines.
The business is a true destination business serving 100-300 covers a day, with a very loyal local client base topped up with tourist guests.
The business operates a very successful traditional “pub” menu, focusing on hearty pies, fish and chips and burgers.
Due to the nature of the role, you will need to be able to work a variety of shifts covering weekends, bank holidays and evenings.
