Hours: 37.5 hours per week (75 hours over two weeks)
Working Pattern: Alternate weekends off (flexibility required)
We are recruiting an experienced Food Services Manager to support the delivery of high-quality food and beverage services within a busy hospitality and events environment.
Reporting to the Head of Front of House, you will assist in managing daily operations across student dining and a wide range of events, including conferences, formal dinners, private functions and weddings. You will play a key role in leading and motivating a team of supervisors, food and beverage assistants and casual staff, ensuring excellent service standards and customer satisfaction at all times.
This is a hands-on management role, requiring a strong presence during service, effective staff planning and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Support senior management and deputise when required
- Assist with the management, training and development of food and beverage teams
- Support recruitment, performance management and staff scheduling
- Ensure smooth, efficient and cost-effective service delivery
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and health & safety compliance
- Oversee preparation and clearing of rooms for meetings and events
- Resolve customer queries and complaints professionally
- Maintain accurate operational and compliance documentation (HACCP, risk assessments, training records, COSHH)
- Support administrative and financial processes including timesheets and till cover
- Proven management experience in a busy hospitality, restaurant or banqueting environment
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
- A flexible and hands-on approach to work
- A commitment to delivering excellent customer service and high operational standards
