We're looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to deliver technical support to our client's customers throughout the EMEAI region. You'll be responsible for commissioning, servicing, repairing, and upgrading low- and medium-voltage electrical systems within industrial settings.
Based from London (home or site-based), international travel is central to this role. Beyond the hands-on technical work, there is a customer-facing element involving technical advice, system upgrades, and service support.
What's On Offer
- Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
- Base Location: Battersea, London
- Travel: Approximately 85% international travel throughout the year, typically two to three assignments per month
- Commissioning, servicing, and repairing low- and medium-voltage electrical systems and equipment
- Delivering on-site and remote technical support with strong fault-finding capabilities
- Conducting routine maintenance and system inspections
- Providing expert advice on replacement solutions and technical enhancements
- Managing and supporting service and maintenance agreements
- Spotting opportunities for additional support while working on customer sites
- Maintaining comprehensive service documentation and accurate records
- Ensuring full compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations
- Designing and delivering upgrades for obsolete electrical equipment
- Programming, modifying, and troubleshooting PLC and HMI systems
- BTEC National Diploma (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Proven experience in field service engineering within industrial electrical environments
- Strong technical knowledge of low- and medium-voltage electrical systems
- Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
- Capability to work autonomously and manage a travel-intensive schedule
- Professional communication skills with a customer-first approach
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively – approximately 85% of the working year
- Commercial awareness with the ability to identify and respond to customer needs
- Hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems and switchgear
- PLC and HMI programming experience across various platforms
- Background working in complex or regulated industrial environments
- Additional language skills
