Field Service Engineer | International Travel | £45k-£55k 

We're looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to deliver technical support to our client's customers throughout the EMEAI region. You'll be responsible for commissioning, servicing, repairing, and upgrading low- and medium-voltage electrical systems within industrial settings.

Based from London (home or site-based), international travel is central to this role. Beyond the hands-on technical work, there is a customer-facing element involving technical advice, system upgrades, and service support.

What's On Offer
  • Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
  • Base Location: Battersea, London
  • Travel: Approximately 85% international travel throughout the year, typically two to three assignments per month
Key Responsibilities
  • Commissioning, servicing, and repairing low- and medium-voltage electrical systems and equipment
  • Delivering on-site and remote technical support with strong fault-finding capabilities
  • Conducting routine maintenance and system inspections
  • Providing expert advice on replacement solutions and technical enhancements
  • Managing and supporting service and maintenance agreements
  • Spotting opportunities for additional support while working on customer sites
  • Maintaining comprehensive service documentation and accurate records
  • Ensuring full compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations
  • Designing and delivering upgrades for obsolete electrical equipment
  • Programming, modifying, and troubleshooting PLC and HMI systems
What You'll Need
  • BTEC National Diploma (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • Proven experience in field service engineering within industrial electrical environments
  • Strong technical knowledge of low- and medium-voltage electrical systems
  • Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
  • Capability to work autonomously and manage a travel-intensive schedule
  • Professional communication skills with a customer-first approach
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively – approximately 85% of the working year
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to identify and respond to customer needs
Desirable 
  • Hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems and switchgear
  • PLC and HMI programming experience across various platforms
  • Background working in complex or regulated industrial environments
  • Additional language skills
