You’ll head up the Maintenance Department which consists of the Estates Manager, Works Supervisor, and multi-disciplinary maintenance team members including a plumber, electrician, carpenter and painter. The team is well established and work very closely together to ensure that the work for the College is undertaken with professionalism and to the highest standard. You’ll get the chance to plan for the future with your project management skills, organising contractors for any major works and delivering your knowledge of the sector to get the best people for the job.
You’ll excel in this job by:
- Having experience preparing and submitting papers/reports to the Buildings Committee, Minor Works Committee, Health & Safety Committee, Sustainability Committee and project boards for estates projects.
- Developing short, medium and long term plans for maintenance of the estate.
- Being able to look after a large team and make sure all staff are properly looked after and heard and upskilled through training and development.
- Assisting the formation of the Departments budgets and regularly assess internal and external spend.
