Electrical Manager – Renewable Energy & Solar PV
Location: Norwich, Norfolk
Hours: Full-time, 39 hours per week
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Our client, a fast-growing clean-energy specialist, is seeking an experienced Electrical Manager to head up electrical operations, guide a skilled engineering team, and drive the rollout of sustainable power solutions across commercial installations.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and develop a team of engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors
  • Manage electrical installation, testing, and commissioning for Solar PV and battery storage systems
  • Oversee electrical design and ensure compliance with BS 7671, G99, IEC and CDM regulations
  • Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and compliance audits
  • Work closely with project managers, designers, and clients to ensure on-time delivery
  • Interface with DNOs/ICPs and support grid connection applications
  • Review schematics, system layouts, load calculations, and protection designs
  • Provide technical support on troubleshooting and preventative maintenance
  • Manage O&M activities for installed assets
  • Review power system studies (earthing, fault levels, harmonics)
What You’ll Bring
  • Proven experience in an electrical management or senior electrical engineering role
  • Strong understanding of electrical design, system integration, and UK electrical regulations
  • Knowledge of Solar PV, battery storage, and grid connection standards (G99/G100)
  • Proficiency with design tools (AutoCAD, PV*Sol, Amtech or similar software)
  • Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety and CDM practices
  • Relevant electrical qualifications including 18th Edition and C&G 2391
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Full UK driving licence
