Select Recruitment Specialist is working in partnership with an award winning Bistro in Alconbury, who are providing the freshest of food with a distinctive twist. We have a unique opportunity for a Commis / CDP Chef to join and train with their existing team.  During the daytime the venue offers a café environment alongside top quality dishes, all in a comfortable and stylish setting. In the evening it is transformed into a modern restaurant and cocktail bar, serving World Tapas.
This is a unique opportunity, as the venue offers an incredible work life balance with a schedule that includes only two evenings a week – a rarity in Hospitality!

What’s the job?
We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about creating dishes from fresh food. All our food is locally sourced and products are made from scratch on site.
Assisting the kitchen team to do various kitchen duties, by making kitchen preparation such as chopping, peeling, and washing vegetables and fruits.
A positive and enthusiastic attitude is a must. We are a team unit, and having a truly positive vibe is important to us.
We want someone who has a genuine passion for food and a creative mind. Everyone gets a chance to input into the menu, which is seasonal and changed every week.
Experience in a kitchen is great but not compulsory, as long as you have a drive and enthusiasm for food then we’re happy to train you from the ground up.

Transport may be required depending on your location. This is an ideal position if you’re based in the Huntingdon / Peterborough area.
