Chef Manager, Cambridge, up to £36000

My client is looking for an experienced chef with B&I or Contract Catering Background, someone who takes a great passion in inspiring, leading and developing a team and a culinary offer.

As Chef Manager you will have a good understanding of nutritional based diets and creating bespoke dishes to cater for the dietary needs of the clients & guests.

The client has recently won the contract to supply and cater to the needs at a prestigious Cambridge site

As Chef Manager you will be involved in the redevelopment of the kitchen and food offering so should have a great understanding of the current market trends, both local and worldwide and how to stay ahead offering your customers the best possible food experience. You will be able to demonstrate fantastic craft skills, and show how you can progress a team and the offer.

Going forward there is amazing opportunities to grow and develop the food offering and hospitality services on site. The ideal candidate will have great ideas of how to push site sales and increase hospitality services.

You will be responsible for your team, serving a breakfast, lunch, early dinner and hospitality services. The chef manager will have a good understanding of P&L's rota costing & planning, team training and development, menu planning, costing and implementation.
The role will involve a mix of kitchen management, FOH and people management and associated paperwork. You will need to be able to demonstrate how you motivate, train and develop your team to get the best out of their abilities.

Experience and Skills Required
The ideal candidate will be from a B&I contract catering background with good knowledge of finances and team management. You will have experience of managing a motivating a large team and be able to cope in a busy environment.

Salary and Benefits
