At Select Hospitality, I am currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Chef de Partie on the Cambridgeshire/Suffolk border. The client is a Beautiful family run independent gastro pub, with a brand new head chef in place.
I am looking for a strong passionate chef, someone who enjoys working as part of a family run group, but in a business that operates like a true independent and be part of a progressive team.
The successful applicant will get the opportunity to work across all sections in the kitchen gaining a varied and broad experience in all areas including pastry. My client is one who really invest time and effort in their team, recognise, and reward those who go the extra mile. The business specialises in fresh local food, the head chef & sous chef come from a multi rosette background and create exceptionally high standard of food.
Everything on site, including burger buns and ice cream is made on site, so a good understanding of fresh produce and farm to fork would be advantageous.
The clients menu focuses on traditional British dishes as well as rediscovering some great classics.
My client is interested in candidates who come from a busy fresh food deli background, have an interest in food & menu development and trying their own ideas on the menus as well as an understanding of current market trends and seasonality.
You will ideally have your Food Hygiene level 2, along with either a NVQ Level 1 & 2 or relevant industry experience.
Due to the nature of the role, you will need to be able to work a variety of shifts covering weekends, bank holidays and evenings. The rota offers a mix of straights or splits to fit around your needs.
Due to location a car and a driving licence is essential, as it is rural with limited public transport.
