The Role
As the Breakfast Chef, you'll be the early bird who makes magic happen each morning. Working as part of a supportive kitchen team, you'll take pride in every plate that leaves the pass.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Prepare and cook a full breakfast menu including hot dishes, continental options, and special dietary requirements
- Set up your section efficiently before service, ensuring all mise-en-place is ready
- Work to order during busy breakfast periods, managing multiple dishes simultaneously
- Plate dishes beautifully with attention to detail and presentation
- Maintain HACCP standards and food safety procedures throughout service
- Keep your work area immaculate - cleaning as you go and deep cleaning after service
- Monitor stock levels and communicate needs to the Head Chef
- Collaborate with front-of-house to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction
- Assist with prep work for other meals when breakfast service is complete
- Contribute ideas to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance menu offerings
You'll be working independently yet supported, with the autonomy to run your section while being part of a close-knit team. Early starts mean early finishes, giving you afternoons free. You'll see the immediate impact of your work through guest feedback and repeat visitors who come back for your perfectly cooked eggs!

- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Breakfast Chef
- Strong knowledge of breakfast cookery techniques
- Ability to work calmly under pressure during busy service periods
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Food Safety Level 2 qualification (or willingness to obtain)
- Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
- Reliable transport or willingness to relocate to our Suffolk coastal location
