My client is offering you the chance to escape the relentless late nights and unsociable hours that dominate most chef roles – this is a Monday to Friday, 7:30am-3:30pm position that finally gives you your evenings and weekends back.
You'll be joining an independent corporate events caterer who values their team, offers proper work-life balance, and rewards any overtime with TOIL, ensuring you're never taken for granted.
As an Events Production Chef, you'll work alongside the Head Chef to deliver exceptional catering for high-profile corporate clients and large-scale events. From crafting meticulously prepared office delivery orders for hundreds of guests to creating bespoke menus for sit-down dinners and buffets, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your skills across a diverse range of exciting projects.
Working with a local conference centre means you'll regularly cater for 300-600 people, giving you the chance to work at scale whilst maintaining the attention to detail and high standards that make events truly memorable. You'll also get to travel during event season, bringing variety and new experiences to your working week.
This Events Production Chef role would suit someone at Sous Chef level who thrives on variety and can confidently manage a kitchen when the Head Chef is out on events. If you're comfortable overseeing casual staff, managing dietary requirements professionally, and running large-scale food operations with precision and care, you'll excel here. Experience with ordering and stock rotation will serve you well, and a fun, positive attitude will help you fit perfectly into this close-knit team.
What you'll enjoy:
- Salary of £32,000 - £36,000 depending on experience
- Monday to Friday, 7:30am-3:30pm (40 hours a week) day shifts with your evenings and weekends free
- Overtime compensated with TOIL
- Occasional travel and overnight stays during event season
