We are working exclusively with a highly respected, globally recognised manufacturer based in West Suffolk. Operating in a specialist, niche sector and supplying to over 60 countries worldwide, this business is experiencing a significant period of growth — and they need a versatile, proactive Support Manager to help them scale.
This is a genuinely varied, hands-on role sitting at the heart of the Sales and Operations function. You will provide crucial support across tender management, customer liaison, exhibition coordination, internal sales, and marketing — working closely with a small, dedicated team and building relationships with international partners and clients.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing and submitting tender applications for international requirements, taking full ownership as you grow into the role
- Acting as a key liaison between customers, the sales team, management, and production — championing the customer at every stage
- Coordinating domestic and international exhibitions end-to-end: stand booking, logistics, shipping, export licences, armory liaison, and on-the-day management
- Supporting onsite partner and customer visits, ensuring every detail is covered — from refreshments and AV to transport and gifts
- Providing cover for the internal sales team and supporting with reporting, partner projections, and mid-year reviews
- Producing content for internal communications, including contributions to the company magazine
- Supporting the creation of marketing materials including documents, photography, and video
- Attending industry events and liaising with relevant bodies as required
- A thorough understanding of sales order processes, from initial enquiry through to fulfilment
- Exceptional attention to detail — this is an absolute essential for success in this role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage at all levels internally and externally
- Excellent organisational skills, able to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines with ease
- Competence across Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with desktop publishing is an advantage
- A confident, professional manner — someone who makes a lasting impression on every visitor, partner, and client
- Flexibility and willingness to travel both within the UK and internationally (essential)
- Good salary depending on experience
- Permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week)
- Based onsite in Mildenhall, Suffolk
