We are seeking a skilled and versatile Relief Chef to become part of our hospitality staff team.
You will provide support across multiple kitchens — filling in for staff absences, managing busy periods, and assisting with special events.
Each day will bring new challenges, allowing you to work in a variety of environments while demonstrating your culinary talents and creativity.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and cook meals according to menu and dietary requirements
- Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and company policies
- Quickly adapt to different kitchens and teams
- Assist with menu planning and daily kitchen operations
- Help train and mentor kitchen staff
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment
- Demonstrated chef experience in restaurants, schools, or care facilities
- Culinary qualification or relevant training (preferred)
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Creative, dependable, and a strong team collaborator
- Flexible availability for working hours (including evenings, weekends, and holidays)
- Willingness to travel between locations — having your own transport is a plus
- Enhanced DBS check required for positions in schools or care settings
- £16–£19 per hour (based on job role and your experience), paid weekly
