About the Role
The Production Manager is responsible for all manufacturing-related activities within the factory, ensuring that products are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves planning, coordinating, and controlling every stage of the production process, from sampling through to final manufacturing. The Production Manager oversees all aspects of production operations and holds ultimate responsibility for product quality and compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
In addition to leading and managing production teams, the Production Manager is accountable for the effective use of resources throughout the manufacturing process. The role also requires close collaboration with engineering, supply chain, and sales teams to ensure productivity and delivery targets are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all manufacturing and production processes
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain & Compliance Manager to deliver the Production Plan
- Monitor and maintain all production equipment, ensuring effective procurement and maintenance
- Continuously seek to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance productivity
- Uphold hygiene standards for both staff and facilities
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures and external regulations
- Monitor quality control, productivity, and production standards
- Identify operational issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Deliver and organise training for factory staff and operators
- Conduct performance reviews and coach team members to success
- Ensure all Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) requirements are followed
- Lead the resolution of equipment issues and coordinate maintenance schedules
- Communicate effectively with senior management, highlighting key updates or challenges
- Support across both sites as required
- Proven experience in a production or manufacturing management role
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills
- Excellent understanding of production planning, process optimisation, and quality control
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
- Working knowledge of health & safety regulations and manufacturing standards
- Organised, communicative, and capable of managing multiple priorities across sites
- Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break, 35 hours paid)
- Salary: £35,000 per annum
- Holiday: 20 days + bank holidays (rising by 1 day each year up to 25 days)
- Location: Split across Easton and Attleborough sites
- Parking: Free onsite parking available at both sites
