Installation Project Manager

Location: Remote / Field-Based (75% of time spent on client sites in London)
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 DOE

Our client is a leading provider of installation services for high-end commercial projects across the UK. They are renowned for delivering fast-paced, at times – logistically complex installations with a focus on quality, safety, and client satisfaction. With a reputation for excellence and a growing portfolio of prestigious clients, they are seeking an experienced Installation Project Manager to join their team and help deliver outstanding projects.

About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Installation Project Manager to oversee installation projects from initial scoping to final delivery. Projects are typically put together within 2–6 weeks but the physical installation taking just 1–4 days on site. This role requires meticulous planning, strong client engagement, and the ability to deliver under extremely fast turnaround conditions.

The successful candidate will take full ownership of project delivery — managing budgets, contracts, schedules, and client relationships — while ensuring installations are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. You will spend 75% of your time on client sites in London, acting as the face of the company and building strong relationships with high-end clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, goals, timelines, and resources.
  • Support Commercial Managers in pre-contract queries, costings, and commercial strategy – scoping out how the installation will be carried out via Risk assessments
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, internal teams, and vendors.
  • Manage project budgets, track costs, and ensure projects are delivered cost-effectively.
  • Negotiate and manage project variances, including additional charges where required.
  • Conduct on-site audits to ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, and client specifications.
  • Maintain rigorous safety standards and oversee quality control on every project.
  • Ensure effective project handovers and sign-offs to deliver a seamless client experience.
  • Prepare and deliver project status updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Manage the process end-to-end in extremely fast turnaround projects.
  • Liaise with high-end clients professionally, providing consistent updates and reassurance.
  • Ask in-depth questions to fully understand project requirements, logistics, and potential risks.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven track record in fast turnaround installations and project management across multiple projects.
  • Strong experience with one-off project fulfilment and commissioning/final handovers.
  • Comfortable delivering projects under extremely fast turnaround conditions.
  • Highly professional and presentable, used to liaising with high-end clients.
  • Strong commercial understanding, including budgets and cost management.
  • Skilled in contract negotiation and stakeholder management.
  • Proactive problem-solver with the ability to adapt to fast-changing priorities.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage both client relationships and on-site teams.
  • Solid knowledge of Risk Assessments, Health & Safety practices (IOSH or similar certification desirable).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Full UK driving licence.
