Pastry Chefs – All Levels (Commis / Chef de Partie / Senior)
Location: Cambridge
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours per week) – Every Other Weekend Off
Pay: £27,560 – £37,688 per year (dependent on experience)
  • Entry-Level / Commis: Starting from £27,560
  • Chef de Partie: Mid-range, typically £30,000 – £33,000
  • Senior / Head Pastry: £34,000 – £37,688

Your Responsibilities
Depending on your level of experience, your duties will include:

Entry-Level / Commis
  • Preparing and baking pastry items to set recipes
  • Assisting with daily pastry and bakery production
  • Supporting senior chefs with setup and cleaning
  • Maintaining hygiene and allergen safety standards
  • Helping with stock rotation and waste control
Mid-Level / Chef de Partie
  • Running your own pastry section
  • Planning daily production and managing workflow
  • Contributing to menu development
  • Training junior team members
  • Managing allergen controls and documentation
Senior / Head Pastry Chef
  • Leading full pastry production across desserts, breads and sweet items
  • Planning menus alongside senior leadership
  • Managing stock, ordering and food cost targets
  • Ensuring consistent quality and presentation
  • Developing the pastry team through ongoing training
What We’re Looking For
  • Commis: Basic pastry knowledge or NVQ Level 2/3
  • Chef de Partie: Previous pastry section experience in hotels, restaurants or contract catering
  • Senior: Senior: Proven leadership experience in a high-volume pastry setup
