Job Title: Operations and Support Technician

Job Description:

We are seeking a diligent and proactive Operations and Support Technician to join a small team. This is a varied role working in all aspects of the warehouse and your flexibility is key.  You will need to have “Goods In and Goods Out” experience ensuring that goods are packaged and dispatched safely in a timely manner.  However, your primary role will be working within the re-work section assisting with assembly, rework and inspection of orders, where you will be expected to use hand tools. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Package and dispatch goods to prevent damage during transportation.
  • Goods In and Good Out.
  • Process and prioritise customer orders to meet delivery dates.
  • Accurately complete stock takes in a timely manner.
  • Assist with the assembly, rework, and quality inspections of orders.
  • Ensure the safe transportation and installation of all products.
  • Prevent product and site damage during installations.
  • Return unwanted packaging and ensure the site is left in good condition.
  • Re-working on components.   
  • Maintain and store stock to prevent damage and ensure easy retrieval.
  • Ensure goods are received, inspected, and handled correctly.
  • Maintain a clean working environment and properly use and maintain equipment.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety requirements and use personal protective equipment as required.
Your Skills and Qualities:
  • Forklift license essential (Counter Balance & Reach Truck).
  • Experience with hand tools, hand-held scanners, and bar-coded operations.
  • Experience in picking, packing, and working with power tools.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures is preferable.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Hardworking, reliable, and honest.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards.
  • Ability to work independently with a methodical approach to tasks.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Clean driving license.
  • Experience with torque wrenches, drills, micrometers, verniers, and bore gauges.
Additional Information:
  • Pay Rate: £11.75 per hour.
  • Hours: 40 per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.
  • This is a temp-to-perm role.
