Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of maintenance activities, including fault reports and service logs.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by recommending strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate closely with production and engineering teams to identify potential issues and implement preventative measures.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer, preferably within a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills, with a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot machinery faults effectively.
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to work efficiently across a three-shift rotation, including night shifts.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise confidently with colleagues and management.
  • Awareness of health and safety practises, with relevant certifications or training preferred (e.g., electrical, mechanical, or engineering qualifications).

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary of £42,000 per annum.
  • Supportive and welcoming team environment.
  • Opportunities for professional training and career progression.
  • Hands-on experience with a diverse range of machinery and engineering systems in a varied and engaging role.

Why Join Us:
If you are a practical, hands-on engineer eager to advance your skills, thrive in a fast-paced production setting, and wish to be part of a team that values expertise, innovation, and continuous development, this opportunity in Thetford is ideal for you.
