Im looking for a strong Head Chef, with events or wedding experience, to join my client at their recently fully reopened site, near Chelmsford. This is a role which allows you freedom and gives you creative flair, autonomy over the food offer, an opportunity to train, coach and develop a team.
My client is looking for an experienced head chef within Events or Wedding Catering, someone who takes a great passion in inspiring, leading and developing a team and a culinary offer. You will have a great understanding of the current market trends, both local and worldwide and how to stay ahead offering your customers the best possible food experience. You will be able to demonstrate fantastic craft skills, and show how you can progress a team and the offer.
The Wedding venue is extremely busy with events and weddings booked for the next 18months, You will be catering for up to 150 guests at a time, covering canapes, the wedding breakfast and evening buffets catering to a high standard using locally sourced fresh food. The ideal candidate will have great ideas of how to push site sales and further increase the wedding and event offering services.
You will be responsible for a team of up to 9 and will have a good understanding of P&L’s rota costing & planning, team training and development, menu planning, costing and implementation.
As well as a brilliant salary of up to £40,000 dependant on skills, abilities and experience, you will be entitled to an excellent pension along with great working hours.
Due to location a DRIVING LICENCE IS REQUIRED
