An exciting opportunity has arisen for a recent graduate to join a growing finance team supporting a group of specialist insurance businesses operating internationally. This role offers hands-on experience across credit control, cash management, and financial operations, providing an excellent foundation for a career in finance within a dynamic and fast-paced industry.

Working closely with experienced finance professionals, you’ll gain exposure to multiple businesses, develop strong analytical skills, and build valuable experience in the global insurance sector.

The Role

As a Graduate Credit Controller, you’ll play a key role in ensuring premium income is accurately recorded and collected, while supporting financial reporting and operational processes.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting day-to-day credit control activities across multiple business units
  • Allocating incoming premium payments and ensuring accurate cash application
  • Monitoring aged debt and assisting with follow-up on overdue balances
  • Liaising with brokers and internal teams to resolve payment queries
  • Maintaining records of outstanding balances and unallocated cash
  • Assisting with monthly reporting, including aged debt analysis
  • Supporting bank reconciliations across multi-currency accounts
  • Assisting with technical payment processing under supervision
  • Identifying discrepancies or data issues impacting reporting or collections
  • Contributing to finance team projects and process improvements

About You

This role would suit a motivated graduate looking to build a career in finance.

You will ideally have:

  • A recent degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or a related subject
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Good Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive and organised approach to work
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
