We're working with a well-established and growing specialty insurance platform operating in the London Market. Due to continued growth across multiple MGA cells, they're looking for a Bordereaux Reporting Technician to join their collaborative and forward-thinking team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a 2nd or 3rd jobber who wants to deepen their technical knowledge, broaden stakeholder exposure, and build a strong foundation in delegated authority and bordereaux management.
You'll play a key part in ensuring the accurate submission, processing, and governance of bordereaux across multiple binders. Working closely with Operations, Underwriting, Systems, MGAs, and Carriers, you'll help ensure risk, premium, and claims data is captured correctly and meets regulatory and carrier standards.
This role offers genuine development - you won't just process data; you'll improve processes, solve problems, and contribute to operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Bordereaux Review & Control
- Review monthly written and paid bordereaux submissions.
- Investigate and resolve exception reports and validation errors.
- Ensure compliance with carrier and regulatory requirements.
- Support improvements to bordereaux process flows and reporting.
- Handle bordereaux-related queries from MGAs and carriers.
- Develop a strong understanding of bordereaux structures and data requirements.
- Collaborate with Technical Operations and Systems teams to resolve issues effectively.
- Submit bordereaux to internal systems for risk, premium, and claims processing.
- Create and maintain mapping templates for new and existing binders.
- Perform data entry and validation, escalating issues where required.
- Work with brokers, underwriters, and claims teams to continuously improve data quality.
- Support internal reporting requirements.
- Assist with audit preparation (internal and external).
- Ensure submissions meet governance and carrier expectations.
- Proven experience in insurance operations, delegated authority, or bordereaux management.
- Knowledge of Risk, Premium, and Claims Bordereaux (including Lloyd's standards such as V5.2).
- Understanding of Delegated Authority structures within the London Market.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence using Microsoft Office tools.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical capability.
- Clear communicator with the confidence to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactive, organised, and eager to develop technically.
