About the Opportunity:
Our client is in search of a talented General Technician to join their dynamic manufacturing unit. As a General Technician, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of their state-of-the-art plastics moulding machinery. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting tool changes, machine settings, and maintaining exceptional production standards.
This position involves 12-hour shifts with a rotating schedule that includes a mixture of both day and night shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform tool changes and set up extrusion blow moulding or injection moulding machines.
- Utilise your keen eye for detail to identify and troubleshoot mechanical faults, setup issues, and quality concerns.
- Conduct regular safety checks to uphold a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate production documentation and ensure adherence to quality control measures.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors to address machine faults and implement corrective actions.
- Technical qualification in Engineering or Vehicle Maintenance.
- Demonstrated experience in a technical role, preferably within an engineering setting.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and capability to work autonomously.
- Outstanding communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Prior involvement in manufacturing/packaging.
- Familiarity with blow moulding or injection moulding processes would be advantageous.
