I am currently recruiting for a large national QSR restaurant group for a prominent site in central St Albans, you will oversee all business operations and have an opportunity to train, coach and develop a team, to realise the full potential of this destination site.
My client is looking for an experienced general manager, with a proven track record of people and kitchen management, with an ability to grow and mentor a team ensuring the business reaches and exceeds all targets as well as offering exceptional service to their loyal guests.
You will be responsible for a team of up to 15, serving food from lunch to early evening. You will have a good understanding of P&L’s rota costing & planning, team training and development.
The role will involve a mix of kitchen management, FOH and people management and associated paperwork. You will need to be able to demonstrate how you motivate, train and develop your team to get the best out of their abilities. As part of your role, you will be responsible for mentoring all levels your team and carrying out regular management meetings, employee 121’s, team briefs and shop meetings.
The restaurant is a fresh food QSR business where all food is made on site daily, a good understanding and experience of kitchen management alongside the associated due diligence, menu costing and stock control is essential for this role.
Experience and Skills Required
The ideal candidate will be from a busy QSR catering operation, be that contract catering, pubs, cafes, or similar QSR businesses with a good knowledge of finances and team management. You will have experience of managing a motivating a large team and be able to cope in a busy fresh food environment.
Salary and Benefits
As well as a brilliant salary of up to £36,000 dependant on skills, abilities and experience, you will be entitled to a quarterly bonus of upto 50% of your salary (£18,000) enhanced pension contribution and life assurance scheme & great working hours
