Select are currently recruiting for an experienced Front of House Manager for one of our lovely clients on the outskirts of Holt, Norfolk

Due to internal promotion, they are currently seeking a Front of House Manager to join their team to help deliver and grow their business.

Employment Type: Temp to Perm (Immediate start available)
Working Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm, 5 day rota (including weekends)
Reports to: Business Owner/General Manager

About the Role We are seeking an experienced and passionate Front of House Manager to help lead and deliver their vision and approach. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Management
  • Lead, motivate and develop the front of house team to deliver outstanding customer service
  • Recruit, train and mentor staff members, ensuring consistent service standards
  • Create staff rotas and manage scheduling to ensure adequate coverage during all operating hours
  • Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews
Menu Development & Food Quality
  • Collaborate with the team on menu ideas, changes and seasonal offerings
  • Ensure high quality food delivery using fresh ingredients
  • Monitor food presentation and quality standards
  • Work closely with kitchen staff to maintain consistency and excellence
Customer Experience & Satisfaction
  • Ensure all guests receive a warm welcome and exceptional service throughout their visit
  • Focus on customer satisfaction and enjoyment as the top priority
  • Handle customer enquiries, feedback and any concerns with professionalism
  • Create a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the company's passion for tea and coffee
  • Build relationships with regular customers and create memorable experiences
Operations Management
  • Oversee daily front of house operations including reservations, seating arrangements and service flow
  • Manage cash handling procedures and ensure accurate till reconciliation
  • Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Maintain health and safety standards and ensure compliance with licensing requirements
Administration & Reporting
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, customer feedback and operational metrics
  • Manage stock levels for front of house supplies and equipment
  • Assist with marketing initiatives and promotional activities
  • Handle administrative tasks including payroll input and staff records
Essential Requirements
  • Genuine passion for tea and coffee
  • Proven experience in a front of house management role within hospitality
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer-focused approach with dedication to satisfaction and enjoyment
  • Creative input for menu development and food presentation
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Desirable Requirements
  • Experience with coffee preparation and tea knowledge
  • Previous experience in café, tearoom or similar environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Experience with POS systems and reservation software
  • Understanding of fresh ingredient sourcing and quality
