We are recruiting on behalf of a prestigious independent education client for an experienced Executive Chef Manager to lead a high-volume, fresh food catering operation.
The site caters for approximately 500 pupils and staff daily, delivering breakfast, lunch, supper, and a varied programme of internal and external hospitality. This is a 7-day, 52-week operation, working 5 days out of 7, with free onsite parking.
The Role:
You will lead the onsite catering team and work closely with the Operations Manager to deliver exceptional food quality, service standards, and financial performance. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong culinary, people, and commercial skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all day-to-day catering and hospitality operations
- Deliver high-quality, age-appropriate food with full dietary compliance
- Manage budgets and produce P&L reporting
- Develop the food offer in line with client expectations and market trends
- Train, motivate, and develop the catering team
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, safeguarding, and company standards
- Proven experience in a similar senior catering or chef management role
- Hands-on leader with strong people management skills
- Commercially aware with budget management experience
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Recognised cooking qualification and Level 3 Food Hygiene
