Successful freight forwarder - Dagenham seek to enlist an import clearance operator to join their team.
As part of the UK division - this relatively small team of 12 operate temperature controlled cargo for some of the largest food manufacturers in the world - and as part of a large portfolio of European companies involved in all aspects of the global supply chain.

The successful addition to this experienced customs team will bring a clear and practised understanding of customs declarations, veterinary, phyto and HRL declarations, as well as drawing up and separating varying documents of origin. The role will be responsible in assessing the correct tariffs for customs duties, agricultural levies, VAT, etc. Ideally you will have experience of IPR/ OPR entriesand some exposure to CVED/ CHED licensing
The successful candidate will ideally be well-versed in file handling from origin to door, and familiar with more complex customs affairs. The role focus is on the correct application of product-specific legislation and ensuring the efficient handling of incoming and outgoing goods/consignments.
As this role offers a great deal of autonomy, flexibility is offered on hours. Branch is covered 8am-6pm, but options to work 9-5.30/ 8-4.30 etc. are available. A part time option may even be available for someone with the right key skills and attitude.
