Your knowledge of setting up IT and AV devices will make sure that everything runs smoothly, troubleshooting any potential issues as you go along to help the event run smoothly. The IT support always tends to be the hero at conferences when things go wrong so you’ll always be appreciated by the people you’re supporting, helping them have the best time at their event. You’ll get to support other aspects of the conference, assisting the organiser in setting up the room with refreshments and furniture, ensuring everything looks ready and in place for potentially some of the world’s smartest people. Your knowledge of IT will come in handy to ensure that all bookings are logged correctly and that information is passed to the correct teams to help events run smoothly.
