Location: Ely, Cambridgeshire
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm (40 hours per week)
Salary: £14 – £16 per hour (DoE) + Quarterly Bonus + Daily Travel Allowance

About the Role
A growing manufacturing business in Ely is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join their modern production team. The company produces high-quality, precision-engineered products for a range of UK customers and is known for investing in its people and technology.
You’ll be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC machinery to deliver accurate, high-quality components on time.

Key Responsibilities
- Program, set, and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines to produce precision components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and production paperwork.
- Check dimensions and tolerances to ensure high-quality output.
- Complete all relevant production and quality documentation accurately.
- Carry out quality control checks during and after machining runs.
- Prepare and handle materials, tooling, and maintenance tasks as required.
- Identify and report issues such as delays, tooling wear, or material shortages.
- Keep machine uptime high and setup times low.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
- Always follow company policies and health & safety procedures.
- Proven CNC machining experience (3-axis or 5-axis, ideally wood or composite).
- Programming experience with Xilog Plus, X-Door, or similar software highly desirable.
- Background in manufacturing, joinery, or precision machining advantageous.
- Good mechanical understanding and a practical, problem-solving mindset.
- Forklift licence an advantage but not essential.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
- Reliable, punctual, and quality-focused.

- Flexible approach to overtime or weekend work when required.
