Job Description:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cleaning Supervisor to join a facility based in Norwich. In this role, you’ll manage a team of in-house cleaning staff, ensuring high standards are consistently met across a large and varied estate.
This is a key position within the soft services team, ideal for someone with a hands-on approach, strong leadership qualities, and a passion for delivering excellent service in a busy, customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day cleaning operations across multiple buildings
- Manage and support two Cleaning Team Leaders and their teams
- Allocate tasks, manage rotas, and cover absences to ensure service continuity
- Monitor cleaning quality through inspections and audits
- Maintain compliance with COSHH, Health & Safety, and waste regulations
- Liaise with suppliers, manage stock levels, and order consumables
- Report on performance metrics and contribute to continuous improvement
- Provide occasional cover for other soft services when required
- Previous experience supervising cleaning teams
- Good knowledge of cleaning standards and best practices
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Willingness to work flexible hours (early mornings, occasional weekends/overtime)
- IOSH / NEBOSH Health & Safety certification
- NVQ or ILM Level 2 in Leadership / Management
- Experience with CAFM and cleaning audit systems
- Full UK driving licence
