Select Recruitment Specialist are working on behalf of a well known company based in Lincoln to recruit Part Time Bookkeeper.

Job Summary:

To produce a weekly reconciliation of the company bank accounts, payments by BACS and credit and debit card with the sales ledger. To assist with all aspects of the accounting function including credit control.

Aim: To build and maintain a robust control of the receipt of funds as per our system and tie these back to the entries on the company bank account. To provide back up and support to the Managing Director and Finance Manager on various aspects of the company accounting.

Scope: The role covers all aspects of the accounting function

Key Objectives

Provide a weekly reconciliation of the sales ledger and report to the managing director proving the integrity of the information contained therein by relating this back to the bank receipts.

Daily recording of Bank receipts and payments to Xero and posting to ledgers.

Reconciling bank receipts from BACS, Credit and Debit cards back to the sales ledger on the company system.

Assisting the Finance Manager with all aspects of the accounting function including purchase ledger, dealing with suppliers.

Chasing customer payments and producing a summary of any late payments that 2 weeks overdue.

Analysing bookings and margins and reporting on any anomalies to ensure the purchase ledger reflects the reality.

Any other work related to finance and book keeping.


Hours are flexible, between 17.5 to 20 per week.
