Are you a self-starter with a background in construction who prides themselves on their service excellence? Have you had some experience of supplier relations, materials management or purchasing and keen to pursue this route further? Our Norwich based, service focused Construction client is looking for an Assistant Buyer to join their Purchasing team to work alongside the Lead Buyer on a number of exciting and diverse project builds.

As an Assistant Buyer, you will be supported by the Lead Buyer and be involved with every aspect of the purchasing supply chain, from raising and managing purchase orders to maintaining strong relationships with current suppliers and sourcing new ones.  Ensuring that a consistent, timely, quality led materials are provided for every projects build.  The role will offer you the opportunity to develop your skills in negotiation, relationship management and budget control and allow you to progress to managing the supply chain for individual sites/project builds.

Our client builds across all sectors, including healthcare, residential, education, and historic renovation – meaning the experience you gain here will be absolutely indispensable.
The role will be full time Mon-Fri, permanent and will offer a competitive salary for the right individual. 26 days hols + BH, free on site parking, above standard contributory Pension.
