Counterbalance Forklift Operatives

- Location: Norwich outskirts, Norfolk
- Hours: Rotating 8-hour shifts — 6am–2pm, 2pm–10pm and occasional nights 10pm–6am
- Own transport: Essential due to site location
The Role
Our client is seeking experienced Forklift Drivers to join their busy warehouse and production operation. You will play a key role supporting production and despatch, operating both Counterbalance and Reach trucks in a fast-paced, well-run environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support production by collecting freshly produced pallets and putting them into stock
- Supply goods to production lines
- Operate palletisers and wrapping machines
- Load and unload lorries using forklift equipment
- Put away pallet stock into racking
- Pick orders by pallet or case using a computerised system
- Manually restack, rebuild and wrap pallets as required
- Stock control, stock taking, daily forklift checks and general warehouse duties including sweeping and cleaning
Licences & Certificates
Valid or (Recently Lapsed accepted) forklift certificates from a nationally recognised authority are essential for counterbalance, Reach advantageous.
About You
- Proven experience operating forklift trucks in a warehouse or production environment
- Flexibility to work rotating 8-hour shifts including occasional nights
- Own transport is essential
- Good computer skills and understanding of warehouse stock control
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Reliable, accurate and high attention to detail
- Demonstrable commitment to the highest standards of health & safety
