We are currently recruiting an Underwriting Administrator for a City based organisation who operate within the Insurance Sector.
This exciting opportunity will involve supporting the Underwriting Assistant in all matters relating to the smooth running of the business. Focus will be on providing high-level administrative support to the underwriting portfolio of the insurance business, ensuring the timely and accurate data capture for business underwritten.

The role is split into the following areas:

Underwriting Support - supporting the team in the underwriting process, including a daily underwriting review of submissions to ensure all data capture is accurate and up to date; scanning and accurately filing all submission data and related documentary information, as provided by clients and brokers.

Team Support - producing timelines and reviews of projects; providing technical and administrative support to the rest of the team to ensure they are leveraging their underwriting time to the maximum and develop procedures and practices that improve the team's efficiency.

Report Production - formatting information for internal and external communication. For example, preparing memos, letters, invoices, statements, and other documents; assisting with word processing, documentation, and database requirements and processing the CEO's monthly expenses.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

• Numerate degree, preferably in Finance, Business, Economics, Law, or Quantity Surveying (minimum 2:1).
• Good grades at both GCSE, including As in Maths and English, and A Level (minimum 3Bs).
• Prepared to work towards an insurance related qualification.
• Good organisational and analytical skills with an ability to prioritise and effectively manage workload, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Team player with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work flexibly to meet business needs, including outside of office hours, as required, and willing to provide support when the team are on business trips.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of applications, as well as good experience with spreadsheets and database processing programs.
