Large 3rd party logistics provider are searching for the right transport planner to support their busy team. Based in state of the art offices - and experiencing a period of great expansion, this household name forwarder are looking for the best local talent for this autonomous role.

They also operate hours 9-5pm for this role - which is rare for any transport position. Confident in their systems and support - the Company feel workload should be manageable and sustainable.
The existing team are led by an experienced and supportive Management team - who plan to continuously improve the inclusive culture and healthy ethos.

Offering all modes of services via air sea road, as well as storage and onward haulage - the successful transport planner will be an integral part of the overland team.

You will use your strong organisational skill to manage the daily job allotment for the depot - and striving to put your customer service talent to best use in all liaisons with customers and partners.

Your attention to detail will ensure all pallet network collections and deliveries are met - as well as organising and planning multiple jobs through 3rd party hauliers. You will be in the driving seat to ensure that fleet schedules are maintained, and de-fleeting vehicles are made available to the team.

Administrative skills will be effective when updating the computer and paper based systems, to record hire vehicle status, recovery vehicles and salvage.

Your responsibility for a healthy, workable and effective fleet is a key role to keep the wheels in motion for this successful transport operation.

A minimum 2 years' experience in a similar transport planning role is essential - in particular exposure to pallet network operations, and key knowledge of the highway code.
