Exciting opportunity for an experienced domestic and European operator to join a vibrant success culture with this upcoming successful forwarder.
This successful company are held in high regard at local level - renowned for their excellent service levels, and very low staff turnover. A solid team of 25 existing staff will welcome a new and eager operator with existing and proven skill in overland planning/ operations, liaisons with hauliers, LTL/ FTL, and customer service.
The brand new site offers staff their own on-site gym, chill-out room, TV, leisure facilities and fully equipped modern kitchen. The team culture is vibrant, energetic and very welcoming.
The fortunate new recruit will work adapt quickly to the demands of a very busy transport operation, and as part of a wider team of ocean operators and support staff. State of the art software will allow you to adapt your skills quickly and effectively. Experience is essential - but an eager and willing attitude is of paramount importance.
Working with a team who insist of helping eachother handle volumes, and ensure that no employee is unsupported, a team player attitude is of absolutely key.
Working in a team of 3 - your day to day will encompass some of the following:
Brokering transport services
Full & Part loads
Controlling both import & export deliveries - domestic & European
Developing relationships with existing and new customers & suppliers
Improve costs/ revenues - maintain good profit margins
Liaise with sales department to increase opportunities
Maintaining accurate records of all relevant documentation - using in-house system
This role would ideally suit someone with around 1 years experience/ exposure to a transport role - who conveys clear focus on time windows, accuracy, and customer relations.
