Our Client based in Lincoln are looking for Skilled Quality Inspectors to join their expanding team.
We are looking for candidates who are apprentice trained in an Engineering discipline.
This role requires team work, So being a team player is essential. To ensure standards are met using your own initiative will be required.
The role would entail the following:
• Measurement from First Principles using hand held measuring equipment
• Interpretation of forging and CAD drawings
• Full dimensional mark-outs for PPAP reports
• Use of Faro measuring arms and 3D Scanners
• Forging defect recognition and terminology
• Assessment of rejects and dispositioning to scrap or rework
• Conducting capability studies on processes
• Conducting dispatch audits
• Supporting calibration activities as required
• Problem investigation and resolution
• General Product and Process measurement
• Gauge R & R studies
• Machining terminology
• Surface finish measurements
The role is on a 3 shift basis and would involve learning the processes in all departments. Eventually the Inspector would take responsibility for quality on a shift in one of the production areas.
The above list is considered a minimum and full flexibility and a willingness to learn additional tasks is essential within the Inspection environment.
Please note: Salary is £21,001.29 plus shift allowance and other allowances depending on the shift rota and department worked in.
