A founder-led investment startup is on a mission to arm YouTube creators with the funding, knowledge, and support they need to grow their channels into sustainable media businesses. They provide upfront capital investment to UK-based creators, alongside strategic advisory, brand deal sourcing, and commercial support. Now they're establishing a dedicated marketing function and seeking a Marketing Executive ready to take an active, hands-on role in building the brand with direct founding team access, real autonomy, and immediate impact.
THE COMPANY
Our client's founder brings 25+ years of experience in financial services and investment, supported by a talented cross-disciplinary team. The business model is unique: they invest in YouTube content creators, then deploy their in-house specialist expertise to help them grow their channels and build full-fledged digital media businesses. They're built on aligned incentives—when creators win, they win. They're now at a critical growth stage, seeking to establish a top-class marketing function to drive further growth.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Social Media Strategy & Execution – Develop and run presence across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. Grow following, build brand awareness in the creator community, create resonant content, manage organic posting, paid campaigns, and community engagement.
Email Sequences & Outreach – Build and optimise cold outreach email campaigns in HubSpot targeting UK creators. Own the full lifecycle: copy creation, personalisation, automation setup, A/B testing, and detailed performance reporting. Also develop inbound nurture sequences, onboarding flows, and strategic re-engagement sequences.
Marketing & PR Strategy – Get involved in shaping the marketing and PR plan. Identify effective channels for reaching creators, set targets, report on performance—bring ideas, test them, iterate. Develop messaging that enhances the public profile and visibility of the company and its creators.
Website & Content – Help develop an online content strategy: blog posts, case studies, landing pages, creator resources. Write in a voice that speaks directly to YouTube creators.
Creator Ecosystem & Partnerships – Build relationships within the UK creator world. Spot partnership opportunities with sponsors, agencies, creator networks, events, podcasts, platforms.
Analysis & Reporting – Use HubSpot and social data to track performance. Make recommendations based on evidence, not assumptions.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Essential
- Proven experience in a marketing role with solid experience with HubSpot
- Demonstrated track record running email campaigns and automation
- Experience managing social media accounts for a business
- Experience creating written content
- Comfortable working with data and analytics to inform decisions
- B2B marketing or startup experience
- Knowledge of the creator economy, YouTube, or digital media
- Experience with paid social (LinkedIn, Meta Ads)
- Design skills (Canva, Adobe, or similar)
- Familiarity with CMS/website builders, SEO fundamentals, Google Analytics
- Proficiency with AI/LLM tools beyond basic chat
- Ambitious – You want to grow and own a marketing function that scales with a fast-growing business, not just fill a seat.
- Passionate – You believe in their mission and have a genuine desire to contribute to success.
- Proactive – You don't wait to be told what to do. You spot opportunities, flag problems, and bring thoughtful solutions to the table.
- Comfortable with ambiguity – Startup life means not everything is defined. You're energised by that, not paralysed by it.
- Creator-savvy – You understand or are genuinely curious about the YouTube creator world. You know the difference between AdSense and a brand deal, or you're eager to learn. You follow creators, understand their challenges, and can speak their language.
- Quality-driven – You'd rather do one thing well than five things poorly. You check your own work and care about details.
- Strong communicator – You write clearly, speak confidently, and aren't afraid to challenge ideas respectfully.
- Reliable – You do what you say you'll do, when you say you'll do it. You communicate progress and blockers to colleagues.
- A genuine pathway to ownership of a significant marketing function as the company scales. This isn't just a "marketing coordinator" role waiting to become "marketing manager"—this is you taking a real role in building something substantial and meaningful.
- Direct access to the senior team—no layers of management between you and the decision-makers. Your ideas genuinely matter and will be heard at the top level.
- Real autonomy and strategic involvement from day one. You won't be micro-managed; you'll be trusted to own your work.
- A front-row seat in the rapidly growing creator economy—you'll understand this space inside-out and build expertise that's increasingly valuable.
- Proper financial backing and serious investors behind the mission, providing stability and resources to execute properly.
- A small team building something genuinely new—your impact will be visible and measurable every single day.
This is a hands-on integrated marketing role with real strategic ownership. You'll be creating them with input from the founding team. You'll balance day-to-day execution (social posts, email campaigns, content creation) with stepping back to shape the bigger picture (strategy, measurement, insights). You'll work closely with the senior team, report directly on progress, and have the autonomy to make decisions that move the business forward. You'll learn fast, have significant autonomy, and see the direct impact of your work on a growing company. It's demanding but genuinely rewarding for someone who wants to build something meaningful.
