Excellent opportunity for a Customs Declarant Professional to join a medium sized business and achieve autonomy, flexibility and managerial prospects if desired.
This successful freight forwarder offer all modes of service by air sea and road – with the addition of fast growing FBA & EComm services. Their success is long standing – but they maintain a small business culture – respecting their close knit ‘family feel’ culture.
Forward thinking – they see an opportunity to take the customs responsibilities away from their internal operators – freeing them of the additional task – and creating instead a brand new internal & dedicated customs department.
Once a well-suited declarant is secured and has established themselves as part of the team – the opportunity to work this role remotely or on a hybrid basis is fully on offer. Flexibility is also offered for on-site hours. This company appreciates skills and commitment – and are happy to accommodate their structure to suit the needs of the right person.
In exchange for your knowledge and experience – you will achieve a generous share of company profits quarterly, as well as annually – in addition to a very competitive salary. The opportunity to grow the customs team is fully supported and at your disposal should this be in keeping with your ambition/ career goals. You could be fully trusted to be in control of the department and its future success.
You MUST bring demonstrable experience of full customs declarations and knowledge of current legislation. The new CDS is in installation stage with this fully prepared forwarder – and staff are being training to stay aligned with the CHIEF replacement system. The company currently use the FCL system for all operations and submissions – user friendly and competent to handle cargo volumes – linking in perfectly with the Seqouia system for declarations.
External training on CDS will be fully supported by the company.
You will be familiar with HOME USE entries – and ideally have some exposure to IPR/ OPR procedures – although the companies mainstay commodities are in FAK.
In a team of 35 total staff – this is a unique opportunity to really impact the business in its consideration of this brand new department.
