Select in Lincoln is working in partnership with an established charity run organisation based in Lincoln. This is a temporary position to cover long-term absence. Hours are 35 per week, but maybe some flexibility. Our client would like someone in place as soon as possible, so would suit someone who is available immediately or at very short notice.
Duties will include:

• Reconciling delivery notes to invoice received and purchase orders; ensuring appropriate authorisation is evidence.
• Processing invoices, ensuring appropriate VAT treatment, description and coding by nominal code, project, department and fund.
• Setting up new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details.
• Querying purchase invoices and requesting credit notes as necessary.
• Processing expense claims and managing petting cash.
• Processing BACS payments and preparing cheques in line with supplier payment terms
• Monitoring cash flow and communicating anticipated requirements to Finance Manager
• Analysis of works Department timesheets in line with project costing requirements and recording of absence.
• Code Works Department stock invoices, store's issues, and process allocation within Sage 50.

Reconciliations:

• Monthly reconciliation if supplier statements.
• Preparing requested purchase summaries.
• Assisting with bank reconciliations
• Assistance with management accounts preparation - accrual/prepayments etc.

Additional Duties:

• Filing and regular archiving if related documentation
• Cashiers cover
• Assisting the Finance Manager as may be required from time in other appropriate duties.

Experience and attributes required:

• Ideally Level 2 AAT
• Good organisational skills
• Interpersonal and communications skills Methodical and accurate
• Previous purchase ledger or book keeping experience
• The ability to work to monthly deadlines and prioritise workload
• Team working skills
