Due to continued investment and growth, our client is seeking a talented pastry professional who can bring innovation, consistency, and flair to their dessert offering across multiple dining outlets and events.
The Role:
As Pastry Chef, you will take responsibility for the preparation and presentation of high-quality desserts, pastries, breads, and afternoon tea items. Working closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen brigade, you will play a key role in menu development and maintaining exceptional standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and delivering creative dessert menus
- Preparing high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods from scratch
- Managing stock control and ordering for the pastry section
- Ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are consistently met
- Supporting and mentoring junior kitchen staff
- Contributing to seasonal menu planning and special event offerings
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Senior Pastry Chef in a hotel or high-quality restaurant environment
- Strong technical skills in pastry, baking, and dessert presentation
- A creative approach with attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate (minimum)
- A positive, team-focused attitude
- Salary up to £36,000 - depending on experience
